A Collaboration

This piece had a started base of media from Ella Flanary. We did an experimental collaboration where each started on a blank canvas, added media and paint, then traded canvas’. We each finished the canvas’ in our own liking, making it our own while adding more media, decor, ink, paint, tape, etc.

Olivia Kays took the liberty of adding more media on top on the base, painting some of my added media a faded, washed red, while adding the black drips, floral tape, sharpie to highlight certain material, and the heightened accentuation of the cigarettes. Ella Flanary started the base with an assortment of magazine articles and red swirls of paint.

This mixed-media collage piece was done on a 4ft by 3ft canvas in 2024.
